Press Release : Shawn Huckleby appointed Board Chair

For Immediate Release

St. Paul, MN (December 11, 2017) – Shawn Huckleby has been appointed Board Chair of Preservation Housing Trust, effective immediately. Shawn replaces departing Chair Joseph Galvan, who has been tapped by the White House to assume the role of the Housing and Urban Development’s Regional Office in Chicago.

Huckleby, a Minneapolis native, was the long time Deputy Director of the Minneapolis Office of the Department of Housing and Urban Development and also served was the Acting Director of the HUD offices in Minneapolis, Detroit, and Springfield, Illinois. Huckleby, a founding board member at Preservation Housing Trust, had previously served as the Vice President of the Twin Cities Community Land Ban and as the Director of Emerging Markets Homeownership Initiative. In addition to his Chair role at PHT, he is also currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Affordable Housing Connections.
