About Us

We believe that a home is so much more than an address: it’s a place of safety, a sense of community, a feeling of belonging. Preservation Housing Trust, founded in 2015, was formed with the knowledge that together we have the power to build strong communities that support thriving families and children.

Our goal is to enable better home and community opportunities for those we serve, strengthening them by providing supportive services that promote and build self-reliance. This will, in turn, lay the foundation necessary to build stronger communities and navigate pathways to a better life for all of those which we serve.

Many of our board members have a long history of building strong community programs, with diverse backgrounds such as Housing and Urban Development, the Twin Cities Community Land Bank, Affordable Housing Connections, Local Initiative Support Corporation, the Hallie Q. Brown Center, the Family Housing Fund, Minnesota Rural Partners, CommonBond Communities, the Wilder Foundation, and Support Our Schools.

Preservation Housing Trust is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization.

We believe in community and operate with the shared purpose of providing meaningful, safe, supportive housing for all of our residents. By working together in partnership with staff, residents, loved ones, management, visitors, volunteers and patrons – we have the ability to be the rising tide that lifts all boats.
